Why Are People (Including Me) So Stupid?
I have decided that everyone in the world is intelligent in one way or another.
However, that also means that everyone is also stupid in one way or another.
I cannot wrap my head around why some people do some of the most idiotic things…
Today, for some fun and humor… we’re going to go over the things I have seen people do that told me they have the stupid gene.
Here we go:
Using Bleach to bleach their hair: I fall into this category, unfortunately. It legitimately states on the bottle to NOT allow this product to sit on your skin. Yet, people around the world are willingly allowing it to sit on their scalp for 25 to 45 minutes in order to make their hair blonde.
Quitting their job with no new job in mind: I understand the concept of needing a change and finding a new career path. However, it’s going to be hard to follow your dreams when you can’t even afford a pop from your local gas station. How stupid can you be to think; “I hate this job… it doesn’t make enough money. I know, I’ll quit and have no money at all. That will show them!”
Dating your best friends ex: I get he or she is probably gorgeous, they might have a great job and they might be really funny. But they’ve also slept with your friend and get togethers are going to be really awkward now. Not to mention, you are going to be worrying all the time if your new lover is comparing you to your friend in certain situations. Who needs that stress in their lives.
Touching Something THEY KNOW is going to be hot: Okay… really?! You’re smart, you probably finished high school and I am going to assume you understand the simple aspects of life. If all of that is true, why, on God's green earth, would you touch something that you know is going to be hot…. TO SEE IF IT’S HOT? — I just can’t with this one.
Searching for their phone while they’re on it: We’ve all done this a time or two, myself included. *Bet you agree that everyone is stupid at certain times now*. It’s comical and also sad to watch someone get frustrated while they look for their phone… that they are talking to you on.
I have many more, but we shall save those for another post.
What do you think? Do you agree than everyone has a bit of stupid inside them from time to time, or am I being rude?
In all honesty, I’ve done two out of five of these things — I’m not immune.
