Who's The Writer You Read
Hello there all! Many of the fantastic writers I follow have a post describing who they are and a bit of their history.
Although I write about my life, kids and job continuously… I don’t tend to write about how fabulous I am or who I am as a person.
However, to follow the trend I am going to do just that.

I was born Kayla Nicole Leigh Tracy in February of 1991.
Yup. 31 and still young. I was born with Celiac Disease, a malabsorption of the small intestine, that no one found until I was 9 months old. I have been living with and learning about that disease since then.
I am 128 lbs and have not weighed more than 145 my entire life… unless you count pregnancies. Speaking of pregnancies. I’ve had 18. Five of which resulted in births and the remaining 13 were miscarriages. I have been tied… I’m done… no more kids for me.
Out of my five biological children, only four reside with me on this rock. Samuel (11), Hunter (8), Lillian (5) and Leo.. who will be 2 in July. My fourth born, Violet, would be 4 now. She passed away due to stillbirth at 38 weeks back in 2017.
Outside of those five angels, I also have two bonus children. Aleecia, who would be 10 today, and Destiny (6). My husband's first born passed away in a housefire three months before I met him.
I married the man of my dreams Derrek back in July of 2016. We have had many ups and downs, but I can honestly say that I have never had another human being care so much for me. He reminds me of my value daily and keeps me grounded.
I have many hobbies and interests. Including drawing, painting, crochet, writing, reading and sculpting. I used to inline skate a bit when I was young, to be honest though, I have no idea if I would even be able to balance myself on a pair today.
I was a clerical worker for 15 years, working my way up the broken ladder of corporate work. I fell into hatred of it and quit back in December of 2021. I now earn all of my income from the very keyboard and computer I type up this article on today. It suits me and makes me feel free.
I am the black sheep of my family. Never was one for following the straight arrow of life expectancies. Although my two brothers did nicely. Even so, I am proud of where I am and who I am today.
I have been writing on this platform since March and enjoy every minute of it. Learning about new people, places and ideas gives me joy I didn’t think I needed. Making connections I never in a million years would have assumed I would make in this lifetime. I am a brutely honest individual with too much to say and I lose a lot of friendships because of it. I guess people really would rather you to lie to them then tell them the truth. I’ll probably stay this way forever.
Anyway… that’s me… a crazy ball of mess filled with all different aspects that somehow fit into one 5 ft 9in 128 lb frame.
Who are you?
🧡 Shine Bright, Kayla
