They Forget I'm a Person: Motherhood Poem

Today I thought I would break away from my normal rants and raves and present you with a piece from my poetry book.
They Forget I’m a Person
To them: I am a superhero, Who never runs out of energy. A chef, that prepares the most nutritious meals. A chauffeur, that can take them anywhere. A doctor, with unlimited abilities to cure all ailments.
When I fall short, of any of these assumptions, they are infuriated. They begin to see I am only human. This has torn their world apart. After all, I was the superhero.
