Kayla's Positive Affirmations: Self-Worth, Positivity & Fun
I have to say, doing this post makes me feel so happy inside.
There is just something about spreading positivity that fills me with so much joy. We consistently see such terrible things in the world. It's a breath of fresh air to see positivity and relatable information every once in a while.

Let’s Get Started!
Make yourself happy first. Yup, I said it. Be selfish. I’m telling you. You can’t do anything for anyone else, if you’re not taking care of yourself. If you’re not making yourself happy and reminding yourself of your worth.
Give your all every day. Even if you’ve had a long week and you’re ready to be done. Give it your all and end on a high note! You should always put 110% that you can into whatever you are doing. Because you never know, today might be the day that you get to where you want to be. You may not know it until tomorrow… but today might be the day.
Enjoy your birthday, no matter what age you are. Lots of people say, “Age is nothing but a number.” For me that’s 100% accurate. Now, don’t get me wrong, back when I was in my early 20s or late teens, birthday were all about jumping around and partying… but I’ve been a mom for a long time so all of that bar hopping and partying waved bye bye to me long ago. Just because you’re getting older, you’re a parent or your employed… doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy the life you’ve been given.
Have some fun every once in a while. Don’t try to make everything so strict and prim and proper. Sometimes, just sitting around and enjoying yourself and remembering what life is all about, is what is going to help you make life worth living. Yeah sure, making money, raising your kids and cleaning your house is important… but you must enjoy the life we’ve been given. We only get one.
Be brighter than the darkest room. Sometimes, shining a light on some of the darkest areas of life, can give us a boost of energy. We always feel like if there is doom and gloom around us, that we should follow suit. However, the reality is… A small light can shine brighter than anything else in the world.
Try to make the best out of every day. Even if you have to do something you don’t want to do like go to work, clean your house or run errands. Remember that you have a job which means you have money, remember that you have a home to raise your children in and you have errands to run for those you love…
If there is something that you want, go after it! You can obtain it! Whether if it’s going to the moon, traveling or getting that promotion at your job… You can obtain it. The more you strive for something, the better chance you have of reaching your goal.
Make your bed in the morning. If you’re one of those people that worries about things you need to get done throughout the day, or if you are being productive… making your bed in the morning can be one thing that you know you have gotten done!
You have CHOICES! There are always choices. We’ve all heard the saying, “I didn’t have a choice.” — That isn’t accurate. You may not have known what they were, but you had choices.
Like what you like. So what if someone does not enjoy the things that you enjoy? Do what makes you happy and what works for you!
Ah, now don’t you feel better?
Lord knows I sure do! It’s nice to see the things we already know placed in black and white by a complete stranger, isn’t it? It just makes you feel alive.
We’re all dealing with different things, we all worry about the future, and we all want to be seen as someone who’s got their shit together. However, we’re all just winging it over here.
I hope you all enjoy this weekly little humorous and relatable post. It makes me smile when I do this each week. I love that I am able to bring a smile to your faces!
🧡Shine Bright, Kayla
