Happy Mother's Day

I know that Mother’s Day is hyped up so much on social media and television. But the reality is, Mother’s Day for us is just another day of to-do lists, laundry and cleaning. We’re still doing what we did yesterday. It’s just that today we do it with a card, candy and a bouquet of flowers sitting on our dining room table.

Some of us may have the ability to sit in our room and binge watch television while our spouse takes on the household for 24 hours. Which sounds nice, but if you’re anything like me, all you’re really doing is pondering how much work you’re going to have to do tomorrow….

While you listen to your little tornadoes destroying your house outside of your bedroom door.

Then, there may be some lucky ladies who get a spa day or a night in a hotel with room service for this holiday. If you are one of them, I ENVY you! Congratulations.

However, for those who are like me and are spending the day writing or reading articles to “relax” — I see you.

Here’s hoping your homes are clean and laundry is done in the morning.
