Finally Going Out Again

Today we are taking our children to a pool party, and it made me realize how little we have had family time since the pandemic started. Family outings, special trips and even simple things like going to the movies have eluded our household for the past year.

This mostly has to do with my medical conditions. We were so worried that I may have caught the virus or some other ailment that we acted like hermit crabs.

Now, it's time to force ourselves back into the public. Let our children run wild and free in the summer sun without fear. Are you back to that point yet? If you are and it's been a little while, how did it go? Are you happier with the way you're able to do things now or was it better before the new normal?

I am excited for the future. The future for us and all other families that are now coming out of their caves like characters from that cute movie Croods. Getting to regroup with old acquaintances and creating new ones. It's a beautiful thing.

I shall let you know how it all turns out.

I realize this post is much different than the others that I normally present, but I wanted to give you all a small glimpse into our family. I shall do that from time to time.
