Do You Feel Like You Work All Day?

Me too! You're not alone!

From morning until night, I feel like my laptop has become a growth that is connected to me at all times. If I’m not working for the financial firm, I’m associated with; I’m writing or I’m doing schoolwork.

I feel like I never take a day off. This may be why I have a lull every 2–3 months. This sounds like soap box story doesn’t it, it’s not.

I’m actually happy with the status quo most days. I have always loved working and keeping a strict schedule. Having OCD has always required for me to finish what I start and keep moving. Some say that I may have a mild form of AHDH as well, but I have yet to be diagnosed. However, I wouldn’t be surprised.

Working all day sounds terrible to some but there are benefits. I am able to grow a business for myself that will one day allow me to work at my own pace, during hours that I choose, on topics I choose.

It’s an amazing thought! To not have to aid to someone else’s requirements. I can’t wait for that day, which is why I can’t stop working. I want to make it to that point and be free.

Being free when it comes to employment is different for everyone. Maybe you’d just be happy to work night shift at a warehouse, be self-employed and work on whatever you wish, or you may just enjoy a regular 9–5. Whatever your choice, freedom is what we’re all looking for.

If you don’t feel free, ask yourself these questions:

  1. Am I happy with what I’m doing?

  2. Is this something I’m passionate about?

  3. What am I passionate about?

  4. Is this going to get me to reach my goals?

If the answer to any of these questions is different than you want it to be, you may need to make some changes within your employment.

Take a moment to write down your goals and aspirations. Jot down your goals within the next 1–5 years and add smaller goals that will aid you in reaching those goals.

If you’re unsure of what those smaller goals should be, take a moment to search for others who have reached the goals you have set for yourself. Search “Ways to become a [YOUR GOAL HERE]” and make notes on things that you can do to take steps in that direction.

You can do whatever you put your mind to. Keep working, keep pushing… there may be days where you feel like you’re working all day but in the end it will be worth it.

🧡Shine Bright, Kayla
