Cheesy Lasagna Recipe

For the first time in two years, we finally have an oven. When we moved into this house three years ago, our oven worked but was broken shortly afterward. (Have kids they said… It’ll be fun they said.)
We have finally been able to obtain a new one and I had to make something special!
What better than some cheesy and delicious lasagna?
I have been making this lasagna for years. Ever since I started living on my own. I’ve never been a huge fan of meat lasagna. The cheese was always my favorite part. So, I needed a dish that was filled with cheese... or better yet, overflowing with it.
If you’re looking for a delicious meal to give your family a fun night of cooking and chowing down, try this recipe!
Kayla’s Cheesy Lasagna Recipe
Ingredients:
1 cup Parmesan Cheese
2 lbs Hamburger meat
30 oz Ricotta Cheese
24 oz Mozzarella Cheese
16 oz Creamette (Oven Ready) Lasagna Noodle (26 noodles)
2lb 16oz Tomato, Basil and Garlic Pasta Sauce

Steps:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Brown hamburger on large skillet.
Or if your meat is frozen, place 2/3 cup water into medium pan. (as shown in the photo below) As the meat thaws you can move meat to smaller pan. — in a pinch for time this is a LIFE SAVER.

3. Drain grease and mix cooked hamburger with the pasta sauce. Set aside.
4. Mix 1/2 cup parmesan, 30 oz ricotta and 16 oz of your mozzarella in large mixing bowl.

5. In a large 10X14 glass baking pan place one layer of oven ready noodles on the bottom of the pan. Next place a layer of the cheese mixture on top of the noodles. Finally place a layer of your meat and sauce mixture. Repeat until you reach the top of your pan. Finally place a last layer of noodles on the top of your lasagna.
6. Take your remaining 8 oz of Mozzarella and cover the top of your masterpiece and do the same with your remaining 1/2 cup of parmesan.

7. Place your lasagna in the oven for 45 minutes.
Remove and let sit for 3 to 5 minutes to cool down and enjoy. Feeds 8 to 8.

I rather like this cooking thing — I may do an article about my favorite cooked meal once a week on Sundays! Let me know if that sounds interesting.
